What paid discovery covers, and why every project starts there

Paid discovery is the first step of every Culturà Ventures project. It defines the product opportunity, customer, format, business model and commercial requirements before anything is formulated or produced. It is scoped to your product, and it makes sure the work that follows is aimed at the right target.
What does paid discovery cover?
- The opportunity. What the product is, what it promises and where it fits against what is already on shelf.
- The customer. Who it is for and how they will use it.
- The format. Powder, tablet, effervescent, mint or ready-to-drink, chosen around the product and how it will be sold.
- The business model. Whether it is a new launch, a custom blend for your own finished product, private label or a pilot run.
- The commercial requirements. Costs, margins, packaging and production needs, worked out up front.
What happens after discovery?
We formulate with ingredient sourcing, margins and production requirements in view. Then we produce an initial run for testing or MVP launch and use product feedback, production learnings and available market results to guide refinement. From there the product moves forward through ongoing blend supply, continued production where it makes sense, or a transition to a manufacturing partner.
Who is paid discovery for?
- Established brands and funded startups planning a new product, a line extension or a custom blend.
- Funders who need product development and validation for an investment opportunity or a portfolio brand.
- Marketing and branding agencies bringing a client concept to life.
- Co-packers and ingredient suppliers that need development, blending or pilot support ahead of larger production.
