Private label drinks for hotels, restaurants and bars

Hotels, restaurants and bars can put their own name on drinks through private label products, custom blends made to their recipe, or kegged drink programs, and the right path depends on volume, service style and whether the drink contains alcohol. A signature drink turns a property's hospitality into something guests can taste, photograph and even take home. Here is how hospitality brands are doing it.
Why are hotels and restaurants launching their own drinks?
For hospitality groups, a branded drink does several jobs at once:
- Guest experience: a welcome drink at check-in, a signature lemonade at the pool or a house latte at breakfast becomes part of what guests remember.
- Consistency: a standardized blend tastes the same at every location and on every shift, no matter who is behind the bar.
- Speed of service: pre-made or easy-to-mix drinks keep lines moving at busy outlets.
- Retail: branded drinks can sell in lobby markets, gift shops, minibars and online, extending the brand beyond the stay or meal.
- Differentiation: in a crowded market, a drink you cannot get anywhere else gives guests a reason to come back.
What can a hospitality brand private label?
Private label means starting from an existing, proven formulation and making it yours with selected customization and your packaging. It is the quickest route for many properties. Options include:
- Drink mix powders: signature lemonades, iced tea, hot chocolate, latte and matcha mixes for cafes and room service.
- Hydration stick packs: electrolyte packets in guest rooms, spas, fitness centers and golf shops. Our post on private label hydration stick packs covers the format.
- Functional mints and tablets: branded mints or effervescent tablets as turndown amenities or retail items.
- Ready-to-drink beverages: canned or bottled drinks for markets, minibars and grab-and-go fridges.
Powders, stick packs and tubs are shelf-stable, compact and easy to store, which suits back-of-house space and room amenity programs.
How do custom blends work for bars, restaurants and cafes?
A custom blend is a recipe developed specifically for you, then produced and supplied on an ongoing basis for your team to use in finished drinks. Think of a house chai or matcha base, a signature cocktail mix, a non-alcoholic spritz base or a spa tea blend.
The process covers formulation, ingredient sourcing, blending and quality oversight, followed by ongoing bulk blend supply. Your bar or cafe team mixes the blend into the final drink, so staff training stays simple and every serve tastes the same.
Custom blends also protect what makes a drink special. Your recipe is built around your flavor goals, your menu and your service style, whether that means a blend that dissolves quickly in cold water for a busy pool bar or a richer base that froths well for a lobby cafe. Packaging can be sized for the back of house, such as bulk bags for high-volume outlets or tubs for smaller ones.
What about kegged cocktails and draft spritz?
Kegged drinks are one of the most visible ways hospitality brands serve at scale. A drink served on draft pours quickly and consistently, cuts down on bottles and cans, and can become a show in its own right.
Veeela, a Hugo spritz brand we've helped build, launched with custom bar carts serving kegged spritz poolside at luxury hotels. It is a good example of a drink program designed around the setting where guests actually drink it.
Kegged programs work for non-alcoholic drinks too, like sparkling lemonades, cold brew, iced tea and zero-proof spritzes. For alcohol, note that Culturà does not hold alcohol permits. Culturà and Art of Beverage help with formulation and development and connect brands with properly permitted co-manufacturers. Read more in our guide to kegged cocktails for hotels and bars.
What volume does a hospitality drink program need?
Less than many operators assume. Hospitality drink programs often start small: one property, one outlet or one seasonal drink. That is why low minimum production matters. Culturà's FDA-registered facility in Delray Beach is built for pilot and small commercial runs, so a boutique hotel or a single restaurant group can launch a branded powder or stick pack without committing to the volumes a national brand would need.
From there, a program can grow into more locations, more flavors or retail distribution, with ongoing blend supply and continued production as demand builds.
How do I start?
Pick one guest moment and one outlet to start, then define the drink, format and volume. Culturà's paid discovery turns that into a plan, followed by formulation, a validation run and ongoing supply. To create your property's signature drink, book a call with Nicolas and the team.
